The following newsletter outlines the news from the Superstructure Group AQD team for June/July 2008.

New AQD Customers - A warm welcome
A warm welcome to our new customers who have joined the AQD family since our last Newsletter and now use AQD as their software of choice for safety and quality management.  These include Qatar Airways, Air Berlin, ERA Helicopters, Transwede, Finncomm, Thomas Cook Scandinavia, Gulf Air, GOL/Varig, Jet Airways, TAAG Angolan Airlines, PASO, V Australia Airlines and Azul Airlines.

We are particularly pleased to see a broader market adopting AQD, with helicopter operators now also realizing the benefit of AQD.  On a regional note, we welcome a number of new Scandinavian customers, and also Jet Airways, our first customer in India.  AQD has become the safety and quality management software of choice by the Low Cost Carriers around the globe.

With a growing base of over 80 customers in the Middle East, Asia/Pacific, Europe and The Americas,  AQD is now the world's leading safety and quality management software for the aviation market.  Click here for a profile of our customers in the News section of our website.

Implementing an integrated Safety Management System (SMS)
2009 is not just about implementing SMS, it is about integrating it efficiently with the management systems of your organization as a whole.  The need to be data driven and integrate all risk-related activities (safety, quality, security, environmental, enterprise risk etc.) across your organization is essential to mitigating risk and realizing financial benefits from enhanced operational efficiencies.  Such data-driven integration is vital to the implementation of a SMS.

We are extending our consultancy services to offer practical advice on implementing an integrated SMS.  Our consultancy services will be supported by our integrated SMS Guide which capitalizes on our experience of implementing and integrating SMS while harnessing the capability of AQD to simplify the business of SMS.  Local implementation workshops and training events will be scheduled to provide support in building your AQD integrated SMS solution.

This service is not exclusive to our customers and is relevant to all airlines that want to take an integrated approach to the implementation of their SMS.  To request further information please click here.

Regional industry events - The ideal opportunity to meet
Regionally focused events are important for continuing dialogue with our customers and prospects, and ensure we keep abreast of trends in the industry as well as sharing the knowledge gained from our market leadership position.

So far this year we have participated in the IATA Ops Forum in Madrid in February, EASS08 in Bucharest in March and the Shared Vision of Aviation Safety Conference in San Diego in May.

The Shared Vision Conference was well attended and we were pleased to welcome our North American customers to an AQD product update event, including a demonstration of the latest ASAP module development.  We also included a workshop on the AQD Risk Management module and provided an update on the future direction of AQD.

We will be participating in regional events in Europe, India, the MIddle East and at IASS08 in Hawaii later in the year.  If you would like to meet us at an event or know of a regional safety forum that would benefit from an AQD/SMS presentation, please click here to contact us.

AQD currently has a number of additional modules that many of our clients rely on to support their daily operations:

  • Web Interface for entering reports via the web

  • Remote Workbench for recording the results of an audit or investigation remote from AQD

  • Offline Capture for capturing reports remotely without connection to the internet or AQD.

  • Automatic Email Alerts (NEW!) a service that automatically generates and sends email alerts based on predefined system events

  • Aerobytes Flight Data integration (NEW!) a generic interface that provides interoperation between AQD and Flight Data Management systems initially released with Aerobytes FDM/FOQA system.

Product Roadmap
We are pleased to announce the release of 2 new modules for AQD under version 6.1.  We are planning a further enhancement release that will be available for customers later in the year.

Our product vision is to deliver AQD as a web-based integrated safety and risk management system.  This will incorporate safety, quality, security, compliance, environment and enterpise risk in one web-based system.  The key to this integration is the data and the way the departments interact with the data to achieve a new order of safety performance.

The first module to be released under the new AQD Portal is the AQD ASAP module for our United States customers and prospects.
