The following newsletter outlines the news from the
Superstructure Group AQD team up to December 2008.
A warm welcome to all our new customers who have joined the AQD Safety community. Southwest Airlines is the world's largest airline (by number of flights) and we are delighted by their endorsement of AQD. They will be trained in December and scheduled to be up and running on AQD by the end of the year.
Another Low Cost Carrier to join Southwest in selecting AQD is Sama of Saudi Arabia. In total, we have 20 Low Cost Carriers using AQD for their SMS software. The addition of Sama strengthens AQD's position not only as the SMS software of choice for the Low Cost Carrier market, but also within the Gulf region where we now have 7 customers.
The Gulf is not the only region where AQD is growing - the system is being adopted by airlines in Africa. Air Service, who support the Oil and Gas industry in Gabon, have chosen AQD as their SMS software, demonstrating their safety commitment to their customers.
The most recent AQD customer is Elit'Avia, our first Business Aviation customer in Europe.

The desired goal of AirTran Airways is to have a 'One Stop Shop' for analysis of information whereby a single repository of information regarding Flight, Cabin, Ground and Maintenance incident and occurrence reporting as well as Audit and, soon, ASAP information can be collated and used effectively to expose trends and hot spots, thus effectively creating a 'dashboard' which regroups all data inputs for an effective Safety Management System.
Having the ability to view all the information available from a range of different sources in one repository allows for the collection and analysis of information to develop a solution. This is invaluable for both the safety department and senior management to make informed decisions. Click here to read the Testimonial.
The inaugural meeting of the AQD Steering Group took place at the IASS in Honolulu in October. The primary objective of the Group is to ensure that AQD continues to meet its customers' needs by representing the market view as AQD customers. This may include input to the AQD Product Roadmap, influencing the direction of the technology and the solution. Items discussed at the meeting included Risk Management, Document Control and Audit Enhancements.

Recent events that we have participated in are the IASS in Hawaii, APASS in Bali and GFSC in the Gulf. All of these events gave us the opportunity to meet our existing customers and introduce AQD to potential new customers. The next industry meeting that we will be attending is the EASS in Cyprus in March 2009.
At the IASS we played a leading role as moderator of the SMS Implementation Panel Discussion and hosting an evening event on the practical implementation of an integrated SMS. The SMS Implementation Panel Discussion was the main event at the conference. To download the panellists' papers and information on the panel discussion from our website, please click here. We encourage you to take advantage of this valuable information resource.
We are very pleased to have on board a new member of the AQD Support Team, Adrian Betts. Adrian is based in our UK office and will be working with our New Zealand-based Support Consultant, Loek Strik and Technical Services Manager, Adam Rosner to support our international base of customers.

AQD is setting the standard in integrated safety and risk management software for the aviation market. Our product vision is to deliver AQD as a
web-based integrated solution
incorporating safety, quality, security, compliance, environment and enterprise risk. The key to this integration is
the data and the way the departments interact with the data to achieve a new
order of safety performance. For access to industry papers on integrated safety and risk management hosted on our website please click here.
The first release of AQD in 2009 is the web-based AQD
