A warm welcome to all our new customers who have recently joined the AQD Customer community.
Jet2.com a British low-cost airline operating services from six UK hubs to over 40 European destinations selected AQD to consolidate all of their Safety and Risk-related data into one system. Jet2.com’s aim is to be the safest, most responsive and reliable operator of contract charter and low cost services in Europe. Yet another Low Cost Carrier who selected AQD is Sun Express, a Turkish-German joint-venture low-fare airline flying from Austria, Germany and Switzerland to Turkey. In total, we now have 22 Low Cost Carriers using AQD for their SMS software.
MIAT, Mongolia's national airline selected AQD because it is the best practice SMS software. MIAT operates a domestic route network and international scheduled services from its base at Chinggis Khaan International Airport near the capital Ulan Bator.

The AQD Customer Conference held in Auckland on 25 - 26 February, 2009 was a great success with a lot of very positive feedback from the attendees. One customer quoted: "I found the conference enlightening and informative; it was also a great place to develop alliances with other users and of course the great hospitality, all very positive".
Attendees had the chance to network with other AQD users and learn from their experience of using AQD to support their safety and risk management practices. As well as discussions on current product and future developments, there was a lot of interest in the AQD Portal and the roll out of modules on this platform. All attendees left the conference with a better understanding of the options available to them and how they can gain greater benefit by using AQD as the ‘one stop shop’ for information across their organization.
If you were not able to attend the conference in Auckland there is another conference being held in the United Kingdom at the beginning of July and in the United States in October.
Recent events that we have participated in are the EASS in Cyprus and CASS in Orlando. We are also represented on the UK Flight Safety Committee which meets every 2 months. These events give us the opportunity to meet our existing customers and introduce AQD to potential new customers. The next industry meeting that we will be attending is the IASS in Beijing in November 2009.
We are very pleased to welcome Kristjana Gudmundsson to the AQD Product Services team. Kristjana is based in our NZ office and is working with our Product Services Manager, Adam Rosner to support our international base of customers. Kristjana comes from an aviation background having worked in the Safety Department of Air Atlanta Icelandic for 10 years and then for Icelandair as the Assistant Safety Officer and user contact for AQD.
