Eddie Rogan joined the Superstructure Team in October 2005 and is responsible
for growing our worldwide aviation sector business. He has a strong technical
and operational background in aviation and has earned a worldwide reputation
in aviation safety with strong expertise in the Human Factors, SMS and
FOQA disciplines.
Eddie worked for British Airways for 26 years, the last 10 years as a
Senior Manager in their Corporate Safety and Quality Department where he was
responsible for the BA Safety Information System known as BASIS. He was
one of the first Human Factors practitioners in an airline and had the
privilege of working with Prof. Jim Reason for two years implementing Human
Factors initiatives at British Airways in the early 90s.
In his position as Aviation Solutions Director he is responsible for
the future direction of our Safety and Quality Management System, AQD. His
growing team of safety, quality and IT specialists provide an end to end
involvement with customers, from sales, marketing, system specification,
commercial contract agreements, through to on site training, consultancy
services and account management.
Eddie has a First Class Honours BSc in Air Transport Engineering from The
City University in London and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from L'Ecole Nationale
De L'Aviation Civile in Toulouse. He is a Chartered Engineer, Member of
the Royal Aeronautical Society and has recently been elected a member of the
Flight Safety Foundation Icarus Committee.
