As AQD Sales Manager, Martin has global responsibility for managing the sales
pipeline for our aviation business and the AQD Safety and Quality Management
System. With 8 years' experience in sales, strategy consulting and
engineering, Martin has a proven track record of managing large accounts as
well as building and closing major software sales. Martin joined the
Superstructure Team in London in April 2007.
Prior to joining Superstructure, Martin worked for 6 years in business
development and sales for Global Freight Exchange (GF-X), the world's leading
electronic booking system for air cargo/logistics. During this time,
Martin built up GF-X's business in EMEA introducing electronic cargo bookings
into 17 major accounts and managing over 30 clients including world class
airlines and freight forwarding companies.
Martin is passionate about aviation (his first work experience was rebuilding
B767 brakes for BA!) and has proven leadership skills combined with strong
language and communication ability. He speaks Spanish and French fluently
and is keen to practise his German. Throughout his career he has
demonstrated an ability to build very strong relationships in an international
environment and to understand different cultures. Martin has a Master's
degree in Manufacturing Engineering (MEng) from Cambridge University.
