The Asia Pacific Customer conference held in Auckland on 25th and 26th February, 2009 was a great success with a lot of very positive feedback from the attendees. One customer quoted: "I found the conference enlightening and informative; it was also a great place to develop alliances with other users and of course the great hospitality, all very positive".
Attendees had the chance to network with other AQD users and learn from their experience of using AQD to support their safety and risk management practices. As well as discussions on current product and future developments, there was a lot of interest in the AQD Portal and the roll out of modules on this platform. All attendees left the conference with a better understanding of the options available to them and how they can gain greater benefit by using AQD as the ‘one stop shop’ for information across their organization.
Thank you to Errol Burtenshaw, Manager Operational Safety for Air New Zealand, for hosting the conference. Errol gave the audience valuable insights on how Air New Zealand is using AQD for their Safety Board Reporting as well as moderating the Group Discussion on Performance Metrics. Our thanks also to Andrea Stebbing, QA Manager for CTC Aviation for her presentation on the use of AQD in a flight training environment.
The evening cruise around Auckland harbour was enjoyed by all and gave people the chance to relax and meet each other socially outside of the conference venue. The weather was good, the people were friendly and the Barbeque and refreshments were well received.
The next customer conference is planned to be held in Europe. The dates and venue will be published soon.
