Our current system could no longer cater with the diverse safety occurrence
report forms which our business needed to manage. We also wanted to use
the same system for managing occurrences and audits in order to align our
safety and quality processes within our Safety Management System.
We started discussing our requirements with Superstructure in September 05 and
within three months we had agreed our requirements, the software had been
evaluated and approved by our IT department, our legal department had approved
the contract and our CEO had approved the business case. The AQD software
was delivered within one week of signing the licence agreement in early
December 05; our IT SQL specialist set up the database and I configured the
system to meet our organisation's needs; e.g. Organisation structure, fleets
and registration, form types etc. The AQD Customer Service team migrated
our old system data to the AQD system and we switched over from the old to the
new in January 2006.
We did most of the system configuration ourselves and found the system simple to
implement and use apart from the form designer which is a bit fiddly and not as
user friendly as it could be. This will apparently be sorted in the next
release of AQD. An internal Database expert was used to help set up the
system to our company's standard; we were assisted by the AQD customer services
team throughout the implementation and even though it was the Christmas period,
we managed to meet our demanding schedule. I found the AQD team both
knowledgeable and helpful and am looking forward to working with them in future
and to the next release of AQD. I have also been very impressed
with their rapid customer service response despite being the other side of the
world!
